The "I Don't Want Your Bits" Card
Most of my apps are fully local. Hedwig Eats, MetabolTrack, and
StiffScribe live and die on your device. I don't see what you eat,
I don't see your voice recordings or transcripts, I don't see your
D&D sessions, and I don't want to.
MetabolTrack stores diet profiles, food logs, and amino-acid limits
locally. StiffScribe stores recordings and transcripts locally and
transcribes them on-device — nothing is uploaded for transcription.
Optional Whisper model packs may be offered later as an add-on; they
aren't in use today.
Network, But Only When You Ask
Some local-first apps still need the internet for optional features
you trigger yourself:

MetabolTrack: can download the public
Livsmedelsverket food database to your device, and may look up a
scanned barcode via Open Food Facts to pre-fill nutrition data.
Those requests go straight to the relevant service. I don't sit in
the middle collecting what you looked up.
The Necessary Evil (Keto-Ia & Ads)
Keto-Ia is the only app with ads. Everything else
is ad-free. Your meals, macros, and settings stay on your phone —
I don't upload them, and I can't read them from my side.
Keto-Ia is free to use because ads pay the bills. Ads are delivered
through Google AdMob. Google — and sometimes other
ad companies they work with — may collect information to pick and
measure ads (for example a device identifier and rough location). I
don't run that tracking myself, and I don't sell your data.
If you're in the EU/EEA, you'll see Google's consent
popup about personalized ads. That's Google's form, not
mine. You can also buy an ad-free version through
Google Play; Google handles payment, and I never see your card
details.
StiffScribe has no ads — optional tips go through Google Play
Billing the same way, and I still never see your card details.
Purging Bits
Want to delete your data? Just uninstall the app or hit "Clear Data"
in settings. Since I don't have it on my servers, once it's gone from
your phone, it's gone from the universe.
Children's Privacy
I don't knowingly collect data from kids. Apps like Hedwig Eats and
MetabolTrack are often used by families managing medical diets — the
data stays on the device, not on my servers. If a 13-year-old is
using my apps to track keto macros or manage asset reports, they're
probably already more responsible than most adults.
Your Rights (GDPR and Swedish Law)
You can ask for access, correction, deletion, portability, or object
to certain processing. You can also withdraw consent where consent is
the legal basis.
If I can verify and action the request, I will. No drama, just a
clear answer.
